The Moon has long been a symbol of feminine power, intuition, and cyclical change. By aligning with its phases, you can tap into its energy and amplify your intentions, manifesting your desires with greater ease.

The New Moon on November 30, 2024, (December 1st in the Southern Hemisphere) is taking place in the stars of Scorpio alongside the Sun. A New Moon in mysterious Scorpio is the most powerful and magical Moon of the year. Scorpio represents alchemy aka transformation and is ruled by Mars, the planet of action and desire, making this New Moon an opportunity to go deep within and embrace your shadows.

This New Moon is conjunct Antares, the fixed star of Scorpio, known as “the heart of the Scorpion”. This star is blood red and is symbolic of wisdom, death, and destruction. The name “Antares” means “Rival of Ares” or “like Mars” in Greek.

There is no denying that Scorpionic energy is intense, powerful, controlling, and some might say dark. Though remember that there is no darkness without light. The Phoenix, a symbol associated with Scorpio, is a mythical bird that sacrifices itself by plunging into fire, only to be reborn from its own ashes. This cycle of death and rebirth embodies the Scorpio theme of sacrifice, where, metaphorically, one’s own life force is surrendered for the purpose of transformation and renewal.

Lunar cycles are in essence emotional and manifestation cycles. With New Moons representing planting seeds and new intentions, the phases grow those seeds, the Full Moon harvests / materializes and the next phases prepare for the next New Moon to start the cycle again.

It’s key during each lunar cycle to note the current sky placement and aspects of the Moon but also more importantly the Moon transiting your own chart. This is how you more personally work with the Moon which brings emotions and internal desires to life.

The truth is each new lunar cycle plants the seeds of your subconscious intentions. When one is not conscious of this, that is when they feel like they have no control over their reality. Our power over the stars comes through conscious awareness. Remember the Moon is not separate from you, it is all the fluids in your body.

To harness this potent energy of this New Moon conjunct Antares, consider making a conscious sacrifice to release what no longer serves you which will make space for new desires to take root. We have been programmed through movies and religion to think of evil in association with “sacrifice” however sacrifice in this essence simply means to release and let go.

Steps to amplify the energy of sacrifice and manifestation:

  1. Write Down Your Sacrifices: Journal your willingness to release limiting beliefs, patterns, and negative attachments, symbolizing your commitment to transformation. This may look like, “I detach and release this in order to receive this.”

  2. Burn or Release: Physically destroy or release items representing what you’re letting go of, such as old papers, broken objects, or worn-out clothing.

  3. Meditate on Manifestation: Focus your intention on manifesting your desires, visualizing yourself already in possession of what you seek.

This lunar cycle is a powerful catalyst for transformation and manifestation. By making conscious sacrifices and embracing the intensity of Scorpio’s energy, you’ll create space for new, higher serving desires to take root and flourish. Setting intentions for manifestation this New Moon is at the expense of what no longer serves you. Trust in your inner power and the universe’s ability to support your growth and evolution.
